JinkoSolar, one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, announced that it won its second order from China Datang Corporation Ltd. to supply 780MW of its N-type Tiger Neo panels. This is the another winning bid after signing the 1GW module supply agreement with Datang Group in June of this year.
Based on n-type TOPCon solar cell technology on a multi-GW scale, JinkoSolar’s flagship Tiger Neo has average cell efficiencies exceeding 24.5% in mass production. This results in module efficiency and powers up to 22.3% and 620W by applying 182” size cells at a competitive manufacturing cost. In addition to higher efficiency and bifacial factor, in contrast to conventional PERC modules, Tiger Neo based on n-type TOPCon technology is shown to reliably suppress both light-induced degradation (LID) and Light and elevated Temperature Induced Degradation (LeTID).
JinkoSolar is one of the world’s first companies to commercialize n-type TOPCon technology, which will be the mainstream of the global solar industry. Combining record-breaking efficiency n-type technology with 100GW manufacturing and engineering experience, JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo surpasses the performance of conventional products. So far, the advanced sales of Tiger Neo have reached the 20GW milestone.
“In terms of kWh per square meter and kWh per kW on the market today, Tiger Neo could be the best product available now,” said Dany Qian, VP of JinkoSolar, “its highest efficiency and outdoor proven generation performance will make the Tiger Neo series enormously attractive to both utility and rooftop customers.
