JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, recently has successfully connected the 100 MW Karawang PV project in Indonesia to the grid with its Tiger Neo 78 cell bifacial modules. Located in West Java, Indonesina, the project is being constructed by Hubei Engineering Company, a subsidiary of POWERCHINA on a site of 80 hectares, with an installed capacity of 100.78 MW. This project is not only the largest land-based PV power station in Indonesia in terms of installed capacity, but also another important milestone for JinkoSolar in the overseas market.
Located near the equator, the Karawang PV project in Indonesia faces high temperatures and rain throughout the year, with extreme temperatures of over 41 degrees Celsius, high UV intensity and abundant rainfall, which impose extremely stringent requirements on the performance and durability of PV modules. It is in this challenging environment that JinkoSolar's Tiger Neo modules were selected as the key modules for the project with the advanced N-type TOPCon technology, due to their outstanding low degradation rates and high reliability.
In September 2023, JinkoSolar's N-Type TOPCon Tiger Neo bifacial module underwent the extremely stringent UV180+DH1000 test, with a test report issued by TUV Nord. The test was conducted under a UV irradiation of 180W/m² for 1000h, 12 times the UV cumulative irradiation required for module certification (UV15); it was also overlaid with a high-temperature and high-humidity test environment for extreme simulation. Under such ultra-high-intensity conditions, the power degradation after the extreme aging test was only 2.93%, far below the passing standard of 5%. In the entire life cycle of a PV power station, a low degradation rate means higher power generation efficiency and longer stable operation time, and JinkoSolar's low degradation characteristics of N-type modules can bring customers more than 2.5% power generation gain, which will translate into considerable economic value in long-term operation, thereby maximizing the return on customer investment.
JinkoSolar not only focuses on improving the efficiency of N-type TOPCon cells and modules, but also continuously enhances product quality in terms of reliability. As a leading module manufacturer, JinkoSolar designs various stringent test conditions to meet the high reliability requirements for its products, in response to various application scenarios and climate conditions around the world, which makes JinkoSolar’s TOPCon products the most reliable, stable and lowest-risk technology.
JinkoSolar will continue to promote the development and application of clean energy technology, providing more efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly photovoltaic solutions to customers worldwide. Through continuous technological innovation and product optimization, JinkoSolar is committed to opening a new chapter in green energy.
