JinkoSolar, the global leading PV and ESS supplier, will supply 16 sets of its SunTera utility-scale energy storage systems batteries with a total capacity of 80240kWh for an ESS project in northern Jiangsu province.
The project will utilize containerized liquid cooling systems, including the 5.015 MWh Energy Storage System G2 SunTera (JKE-5015K-2H-LAA). It employs a liquid cooling and AI-based smart thermal management to control the between-battery temperature difference of less than 2 Celsius degree which results in industry-high RTE 94-95%, 14% prolonged lifecycle, doubled reliability and reduced auxiliary power consumption by 20%. The unique safety advantage of SunTera is additionally backed by 5 layers of protection at battery, pack, rack, container and system level as well as a strengthened heat-resistant material coating applied to avoid fire and explosion occurrence or spread. 8,000-10,000 cycle time, robust enclosure with C5, IP55 certified protection, and all-climate applicable; endures extreme environments with low or high temperatures of -30 to 55 degrees Celsius. Also, it has been proven to work stably in full power operation without derating at high latitudes of up to 4000 meters. In addition, a noise level≤ 75dB makes it the quietest storage system.
Thanks to its containerized design, the ESS is flexibly configured at customers’ requests. Additionally, it is preassembled and pretested when it arrives, so it saves on-site installation time and cost significantly.
Combined with this one, JinkoSolar has won deals to supply a group of energy storage systems in Jiangsu province, totalling over 1000 megawatt-hours (MWh).
