SHANGHAI, November 11, 2021, JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd, (“JinkoSolar” or the “Company”) (NYSE: JKS), one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, today announced it had provided 160MW of its 540W Tiger Pro bifacial module to the first and also the largest hybrid solar-wind power plant which is currently being built by China’s Three Gorges Corporation in lower Jinshajiang River zone in South Western China.
The Tiger Pro 540W bifacial panel is determined to be used for the 160MW PV section of the facility to increase production and profitability, thanks to its high power, high bifacial rate, strengthened mechanical load, better reliability, and duality in real-world condition, prolonged warranty, less degradation, doubled PID free, that maintains unprecedented yields for the plant even in high humid conditions.
This project sets an example that arouses huge interest in hybrid projects which are considered as a way to optimize existing installations. Hybrid solar-wind projects can lower the cost of land and permitting and allow the sharing of site and grid infrastructure. Three Gorges plans a wave of similar projects at different sites, targeting its “30-60” goal.
