SHANGHAI, February 22, 2017 -- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. ("JinkoSolar" or the "Company"), a global leader in the photovoltaic industry (PV), today announced that it has provided 29.64 MW high efficiency solar panels to power the world largest solar canopy in Donfeng Nissan facility in Guangzhou, China. This solar canopy covers 360,000 square meters, with the size of 27 soccer fields, for sheltering over 10,000 finished car products of Dongfeng Nissan and the cars of its employees. Till date, this 29.64 MW solar canopy is one of the largest connected project of its nature in the world. It will produce 28.65million kWh of electricity annually, enough to offset majority of the facility’s annual electricity consumption, thereby saving electricity cost of about 2.3 million RMB every year and reducing carbon emission by 26,425 tons. In addition, the large ground-mount solar canopies rolled out by Guangzhou Dongfeng Nissan is aligned with its corporate strategic objective for sustainability.
