(“JinkoSolar”) (NYSE: JKS), a global leader in the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry, today announced that it has donated 57 kilowatts (kW) to Everybody Solar, a U.S. non-profit organization working to provide solar to local charities. Committee on the Shelterless (COTS) in Petaluma, California, the SciencenterJinkoSolar’s donation of 212 of its high-efficiency PV modules will help Everybody Solar provide solar energy systems to 3 non-profits in the U.S.: the , in Ithaca, New York, and a third yet to be announced. COTS provides life-saving shelter and transformative programs to families, children, and adults in Sonoma County, CA. The organization provides 322 beds of emergency shelter, both transitional and permanent housing, and serves 120 hot meals per day. The JinkoSolar PV modules will help Everybody Solar build a 27 kW system for COTS, saving it over $7,000 per year in electricity bills, money COTS can use for other purposes. The Sciencenter, which welcomes over 100,000 visitors from across the country each year, is in the process of creating a new exhibit that will empower guests to engage in sustainable practices in their daily lives.
