Shanghai, China, July 21 2021 -- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (the "Company," or "JinkoSolar") (NYSE: JKS), one of the largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers in the world, today announced that it will support international enterprises in development of photovoltaic projects in Japan. The Kai Solar Power Station is located in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. The total scale of the project is 14MW empowered by Jinko’s high efficiency PV modules. The main body of the project is Daiichigodo Company which is headed by the Japanese legal entity of Canadian renewable energy operator Amp. The project is scheduled to start in December 2021 and will generate about 18 GWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the domestic electricity of 5,770 average households.

Regarding the spread of coronavirus and the Japanese market situation in general, for relatively large power generation, the involvement of fuel import and export activities are required, as well as high number of operators. Thus with the solar power generation systems, there is not only advantage in terms of excluding fuel, but also fewer operational managers are needed. Therefore, it reduces the risk of infection of new coronavirus to a certain extent, and becomes the choice of power consumption for more enterprises. JinkoSolar is not only committed to the production and development of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules, but also proposes a full range of intelligent energy storage solutions for the Japanese market. After recently setting a test record of 25.25% for large-area N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cells, the maximum solar conversion efficiency of its advanced high-efficiency solar module reached 23.53%, which left behind the previous record of 23.01% module efficiency created by the company in January 2021, and also provided more options of high-quality products for international enterprises.

The construction of the Solar Power Plant on the one hand reflects the recognition of JinkoSolar by international partners, on the other hand, it also shows the important role of JinkoSolar in supporting customers to achieve the 100% renewable energy goal. Gener Miao, CMO of JinkoSolar, said, "We are honored to work with our customers on the projects with environmental significance consecutively. Every customer’s choice towards Jinko is not only a proof of the recognition of our company, but also is a driving force for us to move forward.”
